My trip to Italy

Hi my name is Mariona and today I’m going to talk about my trip to Italy.

The first day we caught a bus and we went to the airport in Barcelona. There, we took our flight to Milano. Once we were in Italy, we got into a bus and we went to Sirmione. We ate our first 100% Italian pizza at one restaurant called Erica, and let me tell you... it was not that good. After that, we caught a bus with destination Verona. When we were there, we visited the famous Arena but we could not be able to visit the middle part of the monument where, a log time ago gladiators fought, because they were doing some constructions. The second day we went to Venecia and we visited the St Marco's Basilica and the Piazza San Marco. It was better than what I pictured, I'll never forget that beautiful monument. Although I visited Venecia years ago, everything surprised me as the first day! The third day in morining we took a train to Florence. When we were there, we went to our hotel called Maxims and we left our equipage. In the afternoon, we visited the beautiful city and we had free time to buy some souvenirs. The fourth day in the morning we visited the Uffizi Art Gallary. It was incredible to see those wonderful paintings! We also visited the Florence Cathedral and we had to go up 463 stairs! To be honest... it was exhausting but it was definitly worth it. The last day we went to Lucca and we visited the country. In the afternoon we went to Pisa and we visited the famous Leaning Tower, it was amazing! And of course, we took the famous photo 'holding' the Tower. In the night we took our flight to Barcelona and we finally arrived at home at 4:00 a.m! We were exhausted but this trip was fantastic because we had nice moments together and a lot of things that were fun too.

How are you? What have you been doing since we last met? I've been getting involved in an animal shelter.

I used to think that the shelters were bad for animals, but I decided to go along to a meeting anyway. I'm glad I did because it made a real impression on me! We meet twice a week to plan things which will make a difference to the abandoned dogs' life. We've just finished organizing our plan to help the abandoned animals and it's been a big success, so I'm really pleased.

Has that ever happaned to you? I mean, have you had an opinion about something but then you get involved in it and change your mind? It happaned to me! And I feel much more outgoing and confidence now.

Anyway, I've got to go now, otherwise I'll be late for our next meeting. Keep in touch!

I am writing to complain about your new computer model which I purchased online, last week, from your website. The description online claims that the computer was new and in a good condition. Unfortunately, this description is totally inaccurate.

In the first place, the computer was completely broken when it arrived. I had bought the computer because it was the new model on the market. But when it arrived I realised that the computer was an old model, which makes me feel so angry.

Secondly, the computer set label says it should contain the computer and one computer charger, but there was only the computer. This means I am not going to be able to use the computer, which is really frustrating.

As a result, this product is really not the same one that you advertise, and I am enclosing the set with this letter and I would appreciate a full refund. I look forward to receiving it in the near future.

What makes a good friend?

A good friend is supportive when I feel down, is truthful enough to tell me the worst things, when everybody else keeps quiet!. A good friend tells you the truth even it hurts, and also is outgoint and enjoys hanging out with you.

My last summer

Hi, today I'm going to talk about my last sumer 2015. First of all I'm going to talk about my japanese course of summer, second I'm going to talk about my trip to Palma de Mallorca, and finally, I'm going to explain my 11^th of September, or 11S.

Well, when I finished the school in June, I started going to my Japanese summer classes. I went to my academy every week until the 15^th of July, when I finished it. I learnt a lot of new things and of course my teacher left me a lot of homework to do during the rest of the summer.

In the rest of July I didn't do anything special, although, I spent a few weeks in my grandparents' house and I helped them in their work, as always. Also I went to Port de la Selva with my friend Judit, for a couple of days.

In the second week of August our friends Carles, Mercè, Judit, my family and I, we made a trip to Palma de Mallorca. We rent a house for a week in a beautiful place called Can Pica Fort. We visited a lot of places like 'Les coves del drac', 'Cala del gat', Santa Margalida and others.

Finally when the trip to Palma de Mallorca ended, I stayed in Banyoles for a couple of weeks and I finished all my homework. In 11 of September my family, my grandparents and our friends, Carles, Judit and Mercè went to Barcelona. It was one of my favourite days in the holidays.

And that was my last summer, I hope you enjoyed it, bye.

What things have improved my english?

My english has been getting better since I started to watch videos on youtube. Most of them are in english so I practise a lot every day. I think that watching videos in english really improves your level. But watching brutisía those videos doesn't make your english better at all, I mean it helps but it's not all you need to make it perfect. You also have to speak it everyday, even if you don't have anyone to talk with. You can always put in front of a mirror and talk to yourself, it sounds strange and creepy but it really makes your english better!

Dear Editor

I am writing in response to an article I came across in Monday's edition of your newspaper. I was disappointed to read comments stating that travelling by train is a thing of the past and that we should destroy train stations. As a traveller who is always taking the train in the morning, I would like to point out the benefits of travelling by train.

Firstly, there is the obvious advantage of travelling faster than you normally would do by car, but that is not the only thing. Travelling by train also makes you feel awake and also makes you feel in peace with the nature.

And finally, train causes less pollution leham heam   than car and buses does. I therefore suggest you think carefully before printing such comments.

I met my friend Elisabet four years ago when I started the highschool. When she met me she was really kind and she helped me a lot. She's probably one of the most truthful persons I've ever met, you can tell her whatever you want and you can be sure that she won't tell anyone. She loves music and she's a really good singer, I think that she's very talented. I'm very pleased to have met her.

 Dear Sir or Madam, I represent a group called 'Teenagers Against Motorways'. I am writing to you because we are concerned about plans to close a park and build a motorway near our town. In our opinion, motorways are dangerous because cars can chive over them very fast and this can cause some accidents in the future.

If you finally decide to build a motorway, teenagers and children won't have a space to meet themselves or just do some activities together. I think a motorway will not be as useful as the park. On the other hand, the engine of the cars will be very noisy, and this could be annoying for the people in our town. We have therefore decided to take action, adn we are going to organize a protest. For this reason, we are sending you poster and we hope that you will support us and help to publicize this event.

A review of a book or a film

I'd like to recommend a book wich I read recently, called The Metamorphosis. The author of the book is Franz Kafka.

The book is philosophal and the setting is his house. The main characters is one man called Gregorio. Gregorio is a man who lives with his father, mother and his little sister.

The thing I liked most about the book were the meaning of the book, I mean, I liked what the book wanted to say, the philosophal message.


All in all, I really liked the book, and though it hasn't got a fair ending. It's one of my favorites books. I recomended it.

I think that you'll like Girona. I live about 19 km from the city but there are buses to go so we don't have to care about it. There are a lot of shops and it has diferents places to go. When you're here there are a lot of things that we can do. We can go to the Cathedral, if you want and we can also go shopping. And of course, you'll meet all my friends and we can go to dance.

You should bring a nice dress because we'll go to a party on Saturday!

Since then, Depp has had a very successful solo career. He has recorded a lot of films and he won an oscar in 2007.

Hi Julia!

We're having a great holidays here en Mykonos. We're staying in a hotel the outskirts of Mykonos. The hotel's got a very big jacuzzi, and we go every day! There are a lot of things to do. The people are very kind and friendly, and they taught me some new words on their language.

Before yesterday we went to the ruins of Delos. Mykonos is a wonderful place and it's very hot so you can swim when you want! How freaking cool is that?!

TV highlights

The highlight of this week's TV was the 'Gran Dictat'. There were two finalists, they were fighting for the big prize, 15.000 euros, at the end nobody won it. When they lost, they felt disappointed, but they never lost the smile.

Tv3's drama series La Riera: La Riera was also worth watching. In yesterday's episode, the mother told to her sons that she killed their father... but she always said that their father was die because he fell into the pool and he couldn't swim. It was a shocking confession.

Finally, something wich also caught my eye was a story on yesterday's news. When one man killed one woman with a very dangerous knife. It was a horrific history.

A famous actor

A famous actor

John Christopher Depp II, or Johnny Depp, is an American actor. He's in the films Chocolate and Pirates of the Caribbean. He lives in Calífornía. He lives with his wife and his two sons. Johnny is quite tall, he has got normal dark eyes and straight haired, I think he is so handsome! The good thing about him is that he is generous, sexy and friendly. Also he likes the unusually things, when he was younger he was quite rebel. He considers himself quite weird. He likes reading in his free time, also he love spend time with his sons, he said: 'I adore my sons and I want to spend all the time possible with them' In his youth he collected some paintings.

Cèlia Estudis and I are good friends. Cèlia lives far from me here in Banyoles. She lives in a beautiful new house. We go to the same school, and sometimes we meet outisde. Cèlia is thirteen years old. She's a quite taller than me, and she has got a long dark brown hair. The good thing about her is that she's one of the best people I've meet, and she's the kindest person for me. Although she can also have a strong personality sometimes.

Cèlia is happiest when she's riding a horse and when she stays at home, we usually prefer to stay in our house but we often go to the Plaça Major. She also likes dancing claqué and I usually go to see her when she's dancing. 

My last summer

Hi everyone, I'm Mariona and now I'm going to explain my last summer. First I'm going to talk about june, then I'm going to talk about July and finally I'm going to explain August and September.

 June: I spent a lot of time in l'Estartit, I didn't do anything special... I went to my friends house, Max and Daniel. I didn't went to the beach because I don't like it. I think the most exciting experience I did was going to the Nautilus. It was amazing, but I didn't see a lot of fish...

 July: In July I spent a lot of time in Juià with my grandparents and my twin cousins. I had a very good time with my cousins because we swam in my grandparents pool, and it was exciting. In july I went to a Japanese summer school, I'm still going to the Japanese classes now.


August: In August I helped in my ballet school, I took care of the little girls and I taught them steps they don't knew. It was a brilliant experience.


September: In September I went to the 11S, in Barcelona. It was one of my favourites things I did in summer, because I spent a very good time while I helped my country. It was amazing because I found one of my friends in there, and there were many people!
